Oxygen - Connect for life

Microsoft has given us permission to issue a press announcement about their worldwide Aruba WLAN deployment. The network has now passed the 11,000 AP mark, and the statistics are impressive: more than 75% of Microsoft’s employees use the wireless LAN every day, 72% said they could work without any wires at all, 93% of users can use their computers in new locations because of the enhanced mobility afforded by the wireless LAN, and 70% of employees said the network saved them at least 5 work hours a week because of increased flexibility.  Additional background information on Aruba’s deployment at Microsoft can be found in the attached 2 May 2008 CIO article titled “An Inside Look at the World's Largest Corporate Wi-Fi Installation” (http://www.cio.com/article/346565/).
